BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
Independently performs broad solution design, enterprise architecture and solution development activities, as well as acting as a technical advisor to teams executing Devon’s most strategic technology projects. Business project success is a key performance metric, so the successful candidate will be highly technical, and be required to get her/his “hands dirty” in the implementation, as deemed appropriate by both teams (immediate and project execution). Since most modern solutions involve a broad range of technologies to implement, the successful candidate must be able to draw on the skills of the immediate team to fill gaps to design the best solution possible. While it’s not necessary for the candidate to be an expert in all (or any) technologies used in a solution, he/she must be willing to learn about them. May be required to work with a business leadership team to help them articulate their long-range roadmap of capabilities, and work to translate and integrate those needs into the IT technology capability roadmap. As a part of a team, she/he would also be responsible for researching, preparing, and deploying cloud technologies needed for future business demands, as outlined in business and IT capabilities roadmap. While the successful candidate would draw upon all platform technologies to design solutions, expertise in one or more of the following focus areas are needed: full-stack application development, large-scale analytics platforms, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of ten years of design and implementation experience; preferably with a diverse background in IT and various technologies and solution domain areas, including cloud platforms
