The Data Technician is an individual contributor providing support to the Well Factory within the Bakken asset, reporting through the Subsurface team. The person in this role works closely with the Subsurface team to assimilate, QC, manage and analyze data, and automate workflows to support team objectives.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for an Integrated Petroleum Systems Analyst in Hess’ Gulf of Mexico (GoM) Regional Team and reports to the Exploration Manager, Regional GoM. The successful candidate will be expected to apply fit-for-purpose petroleum systems analysis workflows for the purpose of de-risking opportunities and/or sub-regional analysis of existing or new plays in the GoM. Responsibilities include but are not limited to integrating basin analysis with analog studies, construction of play fairway maps through integration of structural geology, sequence stratigraphy, petrophysics, petroleum geochemistry and petroleum systems modeling, working with reservoir engineers for economic evaluation and ranking, and ability to assume responsibility as integrator across these disciplines is essential. Particular focus will be on leading petroleum systems integration in support of both regional basin studies and acreage evaluations.
The candidate will be expected to collaborate with others in the internal geoscience communities to define and promote best practices within Hess Corporation. He/she will also work directly with business unit teams in exploration and exploitation settings to guide project work and to advise and consult on technical issues and problems. Team-work, consensus-building and communication skills are a must. Mentoring, teaching and supporting generalist staff in petroleum systems analysis workflows and related topics will be required as needed.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrate a suite of geological, geophysical, and engineering data to characterize exploration and exploitation opportunities through close collaboration with a team of geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers
Conduct integrated petroleum systems analysis to assist exploration and exploitation teams in the exploration at the prospect scale as well as perform analysis and synthesis of complimentary datasets at a larger sub-regional scale to provide petroleum systems context for new and existing plays.
Collaborate within the regional team and across the value chain to carry out petroleum systems analysis
Carry out quality assurance of geological data.
Work directly with business unit teams and management to guide project work, advise and consult on technical issues and problems, and develop, deploy and apply value added technologies and best practices.
Make presentations to Peer Reviews, Senior Management, and partners as appropriate
Ensure that significant technical learnings, insights and experiences are captured and shared between workgroups.

The successful candidate should be an integrator and have experience in the following fields: Petroleum geochemistry: Identification and mapping of source rocks and determination of amount, type, and maturation level of the organic matter; Correlation and interpretation of patterns of petroleum compounds found in subsurface, surface seeps, and outcrop samples; Phase and fluid property and prediction; Evaluation of timing of petroleum migration and assessment of potential migration pathways.

POSITION SUMMARY
This position is for an Integrated Petroleum Systems Analyst in Hess’ Gulf of Mexico (GoM) Regional Team and reports to the Exploration Manager, Regional GoM. The successful candidate will be expected to apply fit-for-purpose petroleum systems analysis workflows for the purpose of de-risking opportunities and/or sub-regional analysis of existing or new plays in the GoM. Responsibilities include but are not limited to integrating basin analysis with analog studies, construction of play fairway maps through integration of structural geology, sequence stratigraphy, petrophysics, petroleum geochemistry and petroleum systems modeling, working with reservoir engineers for economic evaluation and ranking, and ability to assume responsibility as integrator across these disciplines is essential. Particular focus will be on leading petroleum systems integration in support of both regional basin studies and acreage evaluations.
The candidate will be expected to collaborate with others in the internal geoscience communities to define and promote best practices within Hess Corporation. He/she will also work directly with business unit teams in exploration and exploitation settings to guide project work and to advise and consult on technical issues and problems. Team-work, consensus-building and communication skills are a must. Mentoring, teaching and supporting generalist staff in petroleum systems analysis workflows and related topics will be required as needed.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrate a suite of geological, geophysical, and engineering data to characterize exploration and exploitation opportunities through close collaboration with a team of geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers
Conduct integrated petroleum systems analysis to assist exploration and exploitation teams in the exploration at the prospect scale as well as perform analysis and synthesis of complimentary datasets at a larger sub-regional scale to provide petroleum systems context for new and existing plays.
Collaborate within the regional team and across the value chain to carry out petroleum systems analysis
Carry out quality assurance of geological data.
Work directly with business unit teams and management to guide project work, advise and consult on technical issues and problems, and develop, deploy and apply value added technologies and best practices.
Make presentations to Peer Reviews, Senior Management, and partners as appropriate

Provide guidance for major repairs/interventions and scope changes to execution plan. Liaise with production engineer, process engineers, surface reliability engineers, and reliability operators, as needed, on systems and/or process impacted.
Conduct failure/root cause analysis for all failures. Identity countermeasures, develop recommendations to be executed, and track countermeasures to completion.
Deep dive into common failures types and/or utilize data analytics to process information and identify pro-active solution for reliability or business improvements to reduce down time.
Propose and execute pilots to improve reliability and/or production. Monitor, track, and evaluate the results and deliver recommendations to management on field implementation.
Support vendor SQDC for key pieces of equipment utilized in the field. Create action plans to remediate off target results and verify action(s) are completed and work with vendors to reduce cost and promote continuous improvement.
Develop and maintain standards for artificial lift equipment operation, well repairs, and equipment repair/reuse and teardown. Update and improve standards based on review of failure information and feedback from field.
Create and maintain lists of preferred equipment for all parts of the artificial lift system (i.e. pumps, tubing, rods, wellheads, etc.)
Support subsurface execution team in deep diving cost overspend and underspend, determine root causes, and support implementation of countermeasures.
Provide in-field support for critical equipment failures and ensure appropriate data is gathered for failure analysis.
Create new EBS signals or support improvements of existing signals that directly relate to subsurface activity.
Lead management of change request for field changes and be a technical authority for MOC process changes related to subsurface equipment.
Support wellbore integrity management program.
Assist with the develop of autonomous maintenance standards related to subsurface equipment.
Execute and/or support major life cycle change projects that are related to subsurface value streams (i.e. new artificial lift types). Provide input on changes to existing standard equipment.

Collaborate with SME to troubleshoot PRA booking issues
Monitor GOM account receivables and accounts payables
Prepare the monthly Prior Period Adjustment Price Adjustments for HFM
Review Global Production System (GPS) exception report and assist in resolving issues
Prepare and review quarterly/annual Balance Sheet Review commentary
Prepare SOX and external audit schedules as needed
Work with Manager to monitor and review purchase sales agreements (PSA) from Commercial
Communicate effectively with management and work closely various internal and external stakeholders such as, Production Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Finance Support, Royalty Compliance, Cash Management, Joint Venture Accounting to build trusted relationships and provide financial results.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Senior Mechanic operates and maintains the process and utilities systems in a safe and competent manner. The Senior Mechanic is self-motivated, managed and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship in order to assist with the delivery of production targets, and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Company Operational Excellence Expectations.
This is a rotator position located offshore GOM and observes a 14/14 schedule.

Ensure that maintenance defects are recorded in CMMS, in a timely manner and to the appropriate amount of detail.
Comply with the Bureau Safety Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and United States
Coast Guard (USCG) regulations
Understand and comply with the Management of Change (MoC) process for all procedural, equipment or process changes as needed.
Ensure shift and crew-change handovers are accurately recorded in the appropriate log and in compliance with the Guidance on Shift Handovers.

Actively participate in Company Lean Continuous Improvement (CI) process, striving to improve operating and run-time efficiency.
Participate in root-cause failure investigations as required to prevent re- occurrences and help identify “trigger events” as failure causes.
Ensure the technical integrity of instrument equipment and maintenance standards, recommending changes to the maintenance strategy, policy and procedures as required and in compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) process.
Full engagement and compliance with the System Ownership plan.
Inform supervisors of any maintenance activities that could potentially have a negative impact on production.

Ownership and tracking of personal training/learning and career development.
Work with MSV to achieve access to next role competencies in order to continuously improve skills and promote within the organization as openings become available.
5.2.7 Emergency Response
Understand assignment, act as member of the emergency response team and comply with the responsibilities assigned as defined in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
Participate in emergency response exercises to ensure a full understanding and demonstrated capability of the ERP process and procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY
As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Senior Mechanic operates and maintains the process and utilities systems in a safe and competent manner. The Senior Mechanic is self-motivated, managed and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship in order to assist with the delivery of production targets, and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Company Operational Excellence Expectations.
This is a rotator position located offshore GOM and observes a 14/14 schedule.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Demonstrates a high level of knowledge and understanding around Personal and Process Safety.
Work every day to ensure any work undertaken personally or by co-workers is done with a driven purpose to eliminate or reduce risk from the workplace.
Ensure operations are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, company controls and guidelines.
Contribute to the safe and efficient operations through competent operations and maintenance of process systems and associated equipment.
Will require the capability to maintain, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair the following systems and equipment:Rotating Equipment (Reciprocating Engines, Gas Turbines, Centrifugal &
Positive Displacement compressors, Centrifugal, Positive Displacement, & Vertical Lift pumps, Generators).
Non-Rotating Equipment (Inspect, maintain, install: pipework & valves/fittings).
Ancillary Equipment (Maintain Waste Heat Recovery Units; Heat Exchangers:
Plate/Frame & Tube/Shell).
Firefighting Equipment (Inspect, Operate, Maintain: Fire Pumps & Firefighting
Equipment).
EHS & Regulatory Compliance
Comply with the Bureau Safety Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and United States
Coast Guard (USCG) regulations.
Demonstrate personal leadership in process and occupational safety at all times.
Review, understand and utilize the GoM Safe Practices Manual to identify the hazard risk assessment level:Identify Sources of Energy and all hazards associated with them.
Understand how to identify hazard risk assessment levels.
Put controls in place to eliminate or mitigate the hazards associated with work tasks.
Ensure compliance with Company Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and practices as defined within the Company EHS & SR Management System.
Understand and manage work related risk, in order to prevent accidents and harm to people, to reduce damage to the environment and protect the facility, achieve competitive performance.
Perform the duties of an Issuing Authority (IA) and/or Performing Authority (PA) in compliance with Company Permit to Work system and according to competency level.
Production and Technical Integrity Performance
Carry out maintenance activities, as directed by the MSV.
Provide mechanical technical input to projects and TAR preparation as required.
Compliance with WIN PCS, as required, for all installation and maintenance work prior to operation.
Discuss plant operation with functional support, as required, to highlight potential process safety issues.
Complete all PM maintenance routines to schedule and to the appropriate procedure
Ensure that maintenance defects are recorded in CMMS, in a timely manner and to the appropriate amount of detail.
Comply with the Bureau Safety Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and United States
Coast Guard (USCG) regulations
Understand and comply with the Management of Change (MoC) process for all procedural, equipment or process changes as needed.
Ensure shift and crew-change handovers are accurately recorded in the appropriate log and in compliance with the Guidance on Shift Handovers.
Operations Excellence
Actively participate in Company Lean Continuous Improvement (CI) process, striving to improve operating and run-time efficiency.
Participate in root-cause failure investigations as required to prevent re- occurrences and help identify “trigger events” as failure causes.
Ensure the technical integrity of instrument equipment and maintenance standards, recommending changes to the maintenance strategy, policy and procedures as required and in compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) process.
Full engagement and compliance with the System Ownership plan.
Inform supervisors of any maintenance activities that could potentially have a negative impact on production.
Be aware of, and challenge, all maintenance and consumable costs incurred within the operations team mechanical activities.
