The Territory Sales Manager at Cypress Engine will be responsible for driving activity, progress, and results for the selling effort in the greater southeast region of Texas.  Like the other regions in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico and Louisiana, the southeast region has a significant install base of equipment and a coincident book of potential business.  This is an exciting opportunity for sales professionals interested in a solutions-oriented selling process that brings meaningful and measurable benefit to customers.  CEA has a broad portfolio of product and service solutions to offer owners and operators of natural gas fired engines, both in gas compression and electric power generation.  The position is based in the greater Houston area, with regular travel commensurate with the nature and responsibilities of the role within the East and Southeast Texas – travel will be largely by company-provided vehicle.  Responsibilities and key activities include:  Develop and drive the execution of the region’s commercial sales plan by product and service category helping to ensure the company achieves its overall growth targets. Maintain and expand the region’s customer base by building regular rapport with key customers and identifying new customer opportunities. Work to ensure that the company is receiving maximum wallet-share from existing customers in the region by cross-selling the full breadth of product and service offerings. Develop an appropriate level of technical knowledge of the company’s product and service offerings to serve in a consultative role with current and prospective customers. Through technical knowledge and commercial acumen, develop competence in the solutions-oriented selling process by understanding customer’s problems/pain-points/bottlenecks/unmet needs and proffering the company’s field-proven solutions. Collaborate with the company’s technical experts (both product and service) as required to enhance the solutions-oriented selling process. Continually analyze the company’s competitive position and provide feedback to management that will enhance the company’s unique selling position and/or offering. Provide any other feedback to management that will accelerate sales growth within the region. Be the face of CEA in front of customers, keeping in mind and living the core values of the company. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS   Specific experiences, competency traits and drivers to include:  A minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial sales; experience with reciprocating engines and compressors as well as experience in the Midstream Oil & Gas segment preferred but not required. Proven experience in monitoring controls sales and service. Ability to operate in a lean, customer-centric organization with a bias for action. Demonstrated ability to resonate with and influence customers across a broad range of personas from “Facility to Boardroom.” A demonstrated ability to plan and execute to a plan. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
