POSITION SUMMARY As a member of a multidiscipline team, the Senior Reliability Operator operates and maintains the process and utilities systems in a safe and competent manner. The Senior Reliability Operator is self-motivated, managed and engaged in the planning process. They demonstrate to peers and the Operations Lead ownership of the facility equipment and systems. The role assures minimum impact on the facility operations and demonstrates good environmental stewardship in order to assist with the delivery of production targets, and maintain compliance with Group Practice as defined in Hess Operational Excellence Expectations. This is a rotator position located in the GOM and observes a 14/14 schedule. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding around Personal and Process Safety. Ensure operations are completed in accordance with regulatory requirements, company controls and guidelines. Contribute to the safe and efficient operations through competent operations and maintenance of process systems and associated equipment. Maintain the capability to operate, monitor and adjust production, utility, safety and control systems and equipment which includes: Wells Process (risers, manifolds, flowlines, umbilicals, flow assurance/chemical injection, pigging). Oil Separation (separators, oil treater, degasser). Gas Process (booster gas, flash gas, dehydration, vapor recovery, gas lift, fuel gas). Seawater Systems (lift, injection, filtration, cooling medium). Produced Water Systems. Heat Medium & Power Systems (turbine generators, Waste Heat Recovery Units). Auxiliary Systems (air/nitrogen, fuel systems, potable water, flares, tanks & drains). Safety Systems (fire/gas detection, firefighting, lifesaving, process control, process safety). Support Equipment (rotating equipment, process field devices and packaged ancillary equipment). EHS & Regulatory Compliance Comply with the Bureau Safety Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) and United States Coast Guard (USCG) regulations. Demonstrate personal leadership in process and occupational safety at all times. Review, understand and utilize the GoM Safe Practices Manual to identify the hazard risk assessment level:Identify Sources of Energy and all hazards associated with them. Understand how to identify hazard risk assessment levels. Put controls in place to eliminate or mitigate the hazards associated with work tasks. Ensure compliance with Hess Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards and practices as defined within the Hess EHS & SR Management System. Understand and manage work related risk, in order to prevent accidents and harm to people, to reduce damage to the environment and protect the facility, achieve competitive performance. Perform the duties of an Issuing Authority (IA) or a Performing Authority (PA) in compliance with Hess Permit to Work system and according to competency leve Production and Technical Integrity Performance Perform day-to-day management of operational priorities, taking direct instruction from the Operation Lead and Process Specialist for maintaining integrity of the facilities and production optimization. Monitor and adjust production and injection well flow and pressure of the separation vessels, produced water handling, crude oil-to-export, gas compression, dehydration and oil/gas distribution. Monitor and record key operational parameters at prescribe intervals on operator reading sheets, reporting any anomalies to the Control Room Operator (CRO) in a timely manner. Conduct sampling for process operations, compliant with training and procedures. Provide operations input to projects and turnaround (TAR) preparation as required. Comply with WIN PCS as required, for all maintenance work prior to operation. Report potential process safety and operational optimization issues to the appropriate level. Submit notifications for maintenance work. TECO notifications for self-performed maintenance work. Complete Autonomous Maintenance activities. Perform Bureau of Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) regulatory inspections. Operations Excellence Actively participate in the Hess Continuous Improvement (CI) process, striving to improve operating and run-time efficiency. Participate in root-cause failure investigations as required to prevent re- occurrence and help identify “trigger events” as failure cause. Ensure the technical integrity of instrument equipment and maintenance standards, Recommend changes to the maintenance strategy, policy and procedures as required and in compliance with the Management of Change (MOC) process. Fully engage and comply with the System Ownership plan. Participate in root-cause failure investigations as required to prevent re-occurrence. Inform supervisors of any maintenance activities that could potentially have a negative impact on production. Be aware of, and challenge, all maintenance and consumable costs incurred within the operations team production activities. Actively engage in coaching and sharing of technical knowledge with team members. Performance Regularly review personal performance objectives and progress with your RS. Jointly agree upon personal performance objectives with the RS and implement / maintain management and career development to improve and enhance contribution to the overall team and safety of the facility and operation. Training and Competency Become familiar with and demonstrate understanding of the Hess Competency Management System for GoM. (Refer to the E&P Competence Assurance & Training Standard as well as the GoM Technician Competency Matrix.) Understand and comply with BSEE GoM regulatory requirements of Elements 6 & 7 as defined by Hess for competence requirements within this role/discipline. Review and become aware of the competency profile for the role and training requirements, with agreement to work with qualified competency assessor(s) to determine capability measured against the Hess Standard for GoM. Maintain ownership and tracking of personal training / learning and career development. Work with RS to achieve access to next role competencies in order to continuously improve skills and promote within the organization as openings become available. Emergency Response Understand assignment and act as a member of the emergency response team and comply with the responsibilities assigned as defined in the Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Participate in emergency response exercises to ensure a full understanding and demonstrated capability of the ERP process and procedures. Follow the orders of the On-Scene Incident Commander in the event of any emergency onboard the facility. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required Must have good teamwork and leadership skills Must be independent/ autonomous, requiring little day-to-day guidance Strong Knowledge of BSEE 14C and 30 CFR (T-2 Safety System Training) Strong PC application skills (esp.
