The Beach Contracts & Procurement (C&P) team provides functional support, enabling each part of our business by developing innovative and sustainable solutions.

 

As Contracts Administrator, you will play a key role supporting the C&P activities for the Projects, Completions and Drilling teams. This opportunity is for a Contracts and Procurement professional to join a dedicated team, supporting stakeholders in the preparation and administration of contracts and purchase orders and effectively planning, monitoring, reporting and communicating updates across the contract life cycle. This role will develop your C&P experience to make an impact in assisting to develop systems and processes in conjunction with the day to day delivery of effective C&P administration and governance.  

 

To be successful in this role, you will have already a strong understanding of Contract and Procurement fundamentals. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a deadline driven environment.

 

 

 

About the opportunity

 

 

The role of Contracts Administrator is an important function in the Contracts & Procurement Projects team, reporting to the Contracts & Procurement Specialist, with responsibility for:

  • Contract / PO administration and support for the C&P Projects, Completions and Drilling teams (Development).
  • Supporting Development stakeholders in the preparation and administration of contractor and purchase orders by:
    • Development and administration of the contract lifecycle management system
    • Preparing contract status reports for the Development C&P team
    • Facilitating regular team meetings
    • Administration and governance of contracts and purchase orders:
    • Tracking commercial deliverables (e.g. insurances)
    • Processing payment claims
    • Setting-up and administering supplier progress meeting including drafting agenda and minute taking
    • Establishment and variation management of low complexity/risk contracts
    • Developing and maintaining strong C&P stakeholder engagement to support Logistics, Operations and Systems relationships
    • Supporting C&P team with Supplier Performance Management
  • All other duties as reasonably required by Beach Management

 

 

 

Selection Criteria

 

 

Essential Selection Criteria

 

  • A proven track record of contract and procurement administration & governance.
  • Must have strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Understanding of contracts / purchase orders and their primary components.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to apply a consistently high level of attention to detail.
  • Highly proficient in MS Office suite of products
  • The ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.

 

Desirable Selection Criteria

 

  • A tertiary qualification in commerce or business or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of Contracting and Procurement fundamentals: major procurement, contracting, expediting, materials logistics and warehousing management.
  • Certificates/Member Status in CIPSA or other such Professional Qualifications and/or accreditations in Procurement, Logistics or Supply.
  • Resource industry experience in the field of projects.
  • Commercially astute and have demonstrated negotiation skills.
