Job Description
Maintains Andeavor Logistics Cathodic Protection (CP) systems to insure all facilities are protected and are compliant with local and federal agency requirements.
Conducts surface potential and pipe-to-soil surveys. Makes soil resistivity tests to effectively locate new cathodic protection installations.
Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with prevention of corrosion requiring knowledge of power line distribution systems and electrical safety codes.
Tests protected pipelines to measure the efficiency of installed units. Monitors interference point. Maintains cathodic protection station. Monitors internal corrosion and inhibitor feed rates; cleans, weighs and calculates corrosion rates.
Installs cathodic equipment.
Conducts surveys and tests, gathers data and prepares reports and has the ability to read plot plans, diagrams and specific prints
Coordinating sample results and monitoring of chemical injection systems.
