Job Description
Counsels and advises internal customers on consistent and appropriate application of financial accounting policies and procedures;
Leading and performing research and documentation of technical accounting matters related to business transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, investments in other business entities, and joint ventures;
Drafting illustrative policy examples, as necessary, to either improve current policy library or to clarify relevant application of US GAAP to any evolving business practices;
Working with cross functional teams on the implementation of new accounting standards;
Assisting with quarterly and annual technical accounting assessments, such as reporting unit and segment reporting analysis, goodwill impairment reviews, fair value disclosures, and variable interest entity analysis;
Interacting with the company's external auditors with respect to highly technical accounting matters;
Interacting with the company’s internal auditors.
