Job Description
Provides legal advice, counsel and guidance in the areas of labor and employment law and employee benefits as a practicing attorney at law, to assure that the Company, its assets and its activities are legally safeguarded, are in conformity with applicable laws and regulations and will not unduly expose the Company to litigation, claims or penalties.
Advises management of the legal aspects of administrative and operational planning of the Company’s activities and on legal compliance.
Plans and develops solutions to existing or potential legal problems involving the Company, and advises management concerning legal risk mitigation and its legal rights and obligations.
Advises Company management as to the anticipated legal and other consequences of instituting, prosecuting and defending lawsuits, including arbitrations and administrative agency proceedings. Prepares for, and represents the Company in, labor arbitrations and supervises employment-related litigation which are instituted, or defended by, the Company.
