General Manager

Salary:  Up to £50k based on experience

2-3 year fixed term contract.

Anglo Nordic Burner Products Ltd are a leading global supplier of quality heating components, oil boiler spares and installation equipment to the heating oil burning and gas industries.  Anglo Nordic are currently searching for a General Manager to join their team in West Molesey, (near Kingston-upon-Thames) in Surrey.

This role will suit an experienced manager with a flexible and hands-on approach, who will value the experience of a well-established team.  As the General Manager of a small business the role is very broad and has a high degree of autonomy.

The successful candidate will be someone that can appreciate the skills and knowledge within the team, develop team members to their full potential and advance and implement strategies that will ensure the business continues to grow.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth and manage margins in line with budgets
  • Develop business strategy and execute sales plans to achieve sales and profit targets
  • Identify and pursue acquisition opportunities to deliver business growth
  • Provide direction, team leadership and coaching as required
  • Manage premises, systems and facilities to ensure profitable and sustainable growth
  • Responsibility for Health and Safety across the site
  • Manage customer relations to ensure a high level of service and the appropriate solutions
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers
  • Collaborative working with other group Companies

Essential Skills:

  • Previous experience managing a multidisciplinary team including sales
  • Industry knowledge, able to identify new product opportunities and/or new market segments
  • Prior experience of working with or selling gas products
  • Knowledge of marketing including web marketing and online sales
  • Experience of pricing within a distributor network
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Experience of importing products to the UK market
  • Knowledge of general accounts principles
  • Creative approach to problem solving
