Senior Marketing Representative - One Year Contract

Vermilion has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Marketing Representative. Based in Calgary, this position will report to the Manager, Marketing. Responsible for NGL Marketing with additional responsibilities in Natural Gas Marketing in North America, this positions’ key focuses are NGL contract negotiations, identification/evaluation of midstream transportation and processing opportunities, market analysis. This is a critical role within Vermilion, with the expectation that the incumbent will fully contribute to the development and execution of the NGL and Natural Gas Marketing plan for North America. The successful candidate will have strong experience with NGL contract negotiations, midstream transportation and processing negotiations, pricing strategies and will have knowledge of downstream markets.
This is a one year contract.
Key Responsibilities
Negotiate annual and short term NGL contracts
Negotiate lease gas sales/processing deals
Work with Manager, Marketing and other internal stakeholders to evaluate and develop Natural Gas and NGL marketing strategies in line with production profile and corporate strategy
Participate in key regulatory and industry committees and report industry developments to management
Identify and evaluate business/market development opportunities
Develop monthly NGL supply/demand and pricing reports
Any other assignments or projects as necessary
Deliverables
Negotiate 2019/2021 NGL Season Contracts
Evaluation of various midstream opportunities for NGLs and Natural Gas in North America;
Essential Experience & Skills
A minimum of 10 years progressive experience in Oil & Gas
A minimum of five years’ experience specific in NGL and Natural Marketing
Expert ability in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel
Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership and critical analysis skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse groups of individuals
Ability to work effectively, confidentially and professionally in a rapidly changing business environment
Strong team player with the ability to build relationships and work constructively with others to achieve business goals
Results oriented individual with the ability to work independently, prioritize work and multi-task effectively
Education
University degree in Business, Finance, Accounting preferred
