Field Administrative Assistant – SE Saskatchewan

Vermilion has an excellent opportunity for a Field Administrative Assistant. Working in the Estevan field office, this position reports directly in to the Area foreman/Superintendent and will represent the first face of Vermilion Energy. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting and assisting visitors, staff and contractors (in person or by telephone), in an efficient and pleasant atmosphere, while providing accurate and reliable accounting and clerical duties. This individual works within a team environment, generally with limited need for supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Reception and General Office Duties:
Greeting guests, answering main telephone and taking messages for Vermilion Employees and Contractors
Preparation of mail and courier mail for internal distribution or shipping
Ordering of office supplies/coffee condiments
Initiate contact with Telus when problems arise with phone lines
Accounting and Administrative Duties:
General Typing for Operators and Foremen/Superintendent
Filing- General, Well Sites, EquipmentÂ
Recording minutes of meetings (Safety & Operations)
Verification of invoices
Code Invoices with account information
Update Material Safety Data Sheets binder (this is done in Calgary for the most part now)
Collect completed time sheets for Area Foreman
Follow-up on Suspended Well Checklists and Pigging Reports
Ensure Mileage Reports are completed (not done anymore)
Input production Accounting- Enter production numbers into Prodview
Run weekly Production Variance reports for Area Foremen
Integrate Gas Charts when required
Ensure contractors are covered by WCB and have current liability insurance
Essential Experience & Skills
3-5 years previous experience
Working knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Working knowledge with Data Capture systems. Preference with Prodview or Production Manager
Powervision system knowledge would be an asset
Strong interpersonal, communication skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse groups of individuals
Results oriented individual with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
Ability to work independently
Education
CAPPA would be considered an asset
