Job DescriptionA concept geologist, responsible for integrating all subsurface data related to depositional/diagenetic processes in presalt carbonates and implementation into reservoir modeling. Capture full range of geological scenarios, including input from subsurface analogues. Geological integration at different scales, using side-wall cores, thin sections, and well logs for reservoir characterisation and seismic for geobody and correlation analysis. Work across and in coordination with subsurface disciplines, including well planning. Work up all data in a digital format. Integrate subsurface analogue data into uncertainty span. Envisage, coordinate and manage external studies with both internal and external service suppliers. Follow-up of external studies (SCAL, PVT, etc.) and define SCAL, PVT input data for reservoir simulations. Ensure that the concept geology work is performed in accordance with Equinor´s requirements. Participate and share work in license meetings with partners, and internally in Equinor networks. Some traveling should be anticipated QualificationsMinimum 7-10 years experience with proven subsurface project deliveries. Higher education at MSc or PhD level in carbonate geoscience preferred. Deep technological background within carbonate geoscience, preferably from pre-salt reservoirs. Geological characterisation of carbonate reservoirs, and pre-salt reservoirs in particular: Rock, core, thin-section description/measurement Petrophysical complexity and characterisation Seismic interpretation of carbonate plays and prospects. Experience working with carbonate reservoirs and plays from both exploration and early phase field development and production is an advantage. Experience within the following topics is also an advantage: Image log analysis and fracture modelling Geomodelling Rock physics Relevant experience may compensate for formal qualifications.
