Install, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot and repair various types of electronic, pneumatic and mechanical instrumentation on the following refinery equipment: compression, pumps, computers, communications, conditioning, corrosion, measurement, analyzers, pipeline, and other.
Provide project coordination, as required, when projects requiring a small crew are in progress at the refinery.
Maintain instrument documentation, testing, and calibration logs.
Help train company personnel in the operation and maintenance of various types of instrumentation equipment.

Respond to upsets involving hazardous waste and complete initial, annual, and re-fresher training identified in the DKR Emergency Response Plan.
Perform any special tasks that may be assigned which will contribute to the achievement of the Company’s strategic objectives.

Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with prevention of corrosion requiring knowledge of power line distribution systems and electrical safety codes.
Tests protected pipelines to measure the efficiency of installed units. Monitors interference point. Maintains cathodic protection station. Monitors internal corrosion and inhibitor feed rates; cleans, weighs and calculates corrosion rates.
Installs cathodic equipment.
Conducts surveys and tests, gathers data and prepares reports and has the ability to read plot plans, diagrams and specific prints
Coordinating sample results and monitoring of chemical injection systems.

Installs/calibrates electronic transducers (Pressure, and Temperature)
Calibrate, operate, and maintain product quality devices O2, H2S, H2O, BS&W etc. (if applicable)
Operate portable gas chromatographs (if applicable)
Pulls spot samples (if applicable)
Perform and understand crude oil quality (Centrifuge Method)
Operate/maintain automatic liquid samplers
Commission, connect and disconnect LACT or ACT units (if applicable)
Understand tank measurement for floating roof and standard storage tanks (if applicable)
Understand and witness water-draws as required
Perform functions independently in area of responsibility
Perform proving by conducting or witnessing test
