BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The ESP Optimization Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance to the production foreman, including but not limited to production review and trouble shooting of wells and analysis of mechanical failures. Be familiar with a variety of production applications. Must have computer skills etc.
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Requires a minimum of two years of Field Service experience with Electrical Submersible Pumps (ESP)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitors, trouble shoots and tests downhole ESP equipment including Downhole Monitoring Tools in order to maximize well productivity and ESP run life.
Assist with the set up and start of Centrilift Motor Controller’s and VSD’s
Shoot fluid levels, weigh and analyze data from all types of artificial lift systems (i.e. rod pump, plunger lift, & ESP wells)
Strong commitment to safety and environment
Work closely with Production Foreman, EHS and Lease Operators
Maintain compliance, in conjunction with and through close coordination with the Foreman and EHS Dept. for all regulatory, environmental and safety issues
Handle other special projects as assigned
Supports and maintains all company policies
May be required to work long hours, on holidays, be called out after shift hours and on weekends

Under general supervision, this position prepares, maintains, and submits daily reports and records of daily gas and/or liquid volume, well pressure and volume of chemicals used, etc. assuring wells are up and running.
