About the Role:

 

As a legal professional with previous experience in the energy and resources industry you will support legal aspects of a range of Woodside’s activities.

 

This role offer may be either permanent or 12 months fixed term opportunity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide commercial-focussed legal advice and assistance to relevant stakeholder groups involved in the preparation, negotiation, implementation and administration of various joint venture and other commercial arrangements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, address corporate governance and regulatory compliance issues across a range of the company’s activities.
  • Providing general corporate commercial legal advice.
  • Provide structured and ad-hoc legal training across a range of functions and business units.
  • When required, provide legal support for internal reviews and investigations.
Skills & Experience:

 

  • You must be admitted as a lawyer to practise in Australia. Please clearly state in your application the month/year and jurisdiction in which you were admitted and whether you hold an unrestricted practicing certificate.
  • Appropriately qualified with relevant tertiary qualifications (law degree) with 5+ years as a lawyer with professional experience in the energy and resources industry.
  • You must be a proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have a strong organisational and prioritisation ability.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and influencing skills, including confident interaction with senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and foster positive relationships and networks.
